What it is

The DeWalt DT4619-QZ is a wood auger bit of 28 mm diameter, designed for clean, reasonably deep holes in wood and wood-based materials. The working length of 100 mm and the total length of 200 mm ensure a stable feed, while the spiral aids chip removal and keeps the hole clean.

How to use it

Place the centre point on the mark and start at low speed; always use large-diameter spade and Forstner bits at reduced speed. To avoid breakout, rest the workpiece on a piece of scrap wood or finish the hole from the opposite side. Use extensions for deep holes, locking them by tightening the screw firmly.
