SDS-plus Extreme bit 10x310x250mm DeWalt DT9543-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT9543-QZ is a 10 mm diameter SDS-Plus Extreme bit designed for deep drilling in concrete. The twin-flute geometry, two-cutting-edge head and reinforced core promote continuous debris removal and stable drilling even over long strokes, while the SDS-Plus shank makes it compatible with common rotary hammers. The working length of 250 mm is intended for deep and through holes.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
