What it is
The DeWalt DT9558-QZ drill bit belongs to the SDS-Plus Extreme range and is designed for drilling concrete with rotary hammers fitted with an SDS-Plus shank. With a diameter of 12 mm and a working length of 550 mm, it offers substantial drilling depth that makes it suitable for through holes and deep work. The double-helix geometry aids dust removal during drilling, while the reinforced core helps contain vibration and keep the bit straight in the hole.
A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.
What it is for
Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.
How to use it
Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
