SDS-plus Extreme 2 bit 5x160x100mm, multipack, DeWalt DT9803-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT9803-QZ SDS-Plus drill bit from the Extreme 2 range has a 5 mm diameter, an overall length of 160 mm and 100 mm of usable working length. The carbide-tipped head and 2-cutter geometry are designed for hammer drilling in concrete, while the SDS PLUS shank ensures quick insertion and a stable grip in rotary hammers and hammer drills. It is supplied in a handy multipack of 10 pieces.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
