What it is

The DeWalt DWE550-QS circular saw is a compact, easy-to-handle corded tool for cutting timber and panels. It takes a 165 mm diameter blade with a 20 mm bore and reaches a no-load speed of 5,500 rpm, with an output power of 750 W. It allows a cutting depth of up to 55 mm at 90° and 35 mm at 45°, with the ability to make bevel cuts. The low weight of 3.6 kg, the length of 286 mm and the height of 226 mm make it an agile machine that is easy to control.

How to use it

Fit the blade suited to the material, observing the direction of rotation, set the depth just beyond the material thickness and clamp the workpiece. Start the blade before it touches the workpiece and feed steadily along the line or guide rail, without forcing or lifting the machine during the cut. Check that the lower guard always returns to its position, wear safety glasses and ear defenders, and connect dust extraction whenever possible.
