Digital clamp meter Fervi P075

What it is

The Fervi P075 digital clamp meter is a multifunction electrical measuring instrument for checks on installations and equipment. It can measure AC voltage up to 750 V (±1.2%) and DC voltage up to 1000 V (±1%), current from 200 to 1000 A in both AC (±2.0%) and DC (±2.0%), resistance up to 200 Ω (±1%), frequency up to 2k Hz (±2.5%) and temperature from -40 °C to 400 °C (±1.5%). It is powered by a 9 V battery and weighs 0.62 kg.

The clamp meter is an instrument that measures the current flowing in a cable by closing its jaws around a single conductor, without breaking the circuit; many models also measure voltage and resistance.

What it is for

Used in the installation and maintenance of residential and industrial electrical systems, for inspecting plant, pipework and structures and for measuring on site and in the workshop.

How to use it

Select the function and range, open the jaws and close them around a single conductor, not around the whole cable with live and neutral. Then read the value on the display. Check that the jaws are clean and close fully, and wear insulating gloves when working on live installations.
