What it is

The Fervi 0013/185 voltage tester screwdriver is a pocket-sized measuring instrument for quickly checking for the presence of voltage in electrical systems, with a measuring range of 100 to 500 V. Compact and extremely light, with a length of 190 mm and a gross weight of just 0.03 kg, it combines the practicality of a screwdriver with the function of a phase detector.

The mains tester is a screwdriver or pen with a light indicator that signals the presence of voltage on a conductor.

What it is for

Used in the installation and maintenance of residential and industrial electrical systems, for inspecting plant, pipework and structures and for measuring on site and in the workshop.

How to use it

First check that it works on a known live source. Then place the tip against the conductor to be checked, keeping contact with the dedicated point on the handle if provided: the indicator lights up when voltage is present. It is not a substitute for a multimeter for measurements and must not be used as a screwdriver with force.
