What it is
The Fervi ST2A27.25 taper shank twist drill bit is a drilling tool for metals with a Ø 27.25 mm diameter, suitable for machines with a Morse taper shank. The 118° point angle ensures a balanced cut in steel, while the hardness of HV 700-740 gives the cutting edge wear resistance and consistency in repeated operations. The product is made to DIN 345.

What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
