Taper shank twist drill bit Fervi ST2A63

What it is

The Fervi ST2A63 taper shank twist drill bit offers a Ø 63 mm diameter and is intended for drilling large sections on drills and machines fitted with a taper chuck. Made in accordance with DIN 345/N, it features a 118° point angle, a geometry that promotes a regular cut and optimal chip clearance. The hardness of 700-740 HV ensures edge retention and mechanical strength even during the most intensive operations.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
