What it is
The N extended fixing from Fischer is a nylon plug with an A2 stainless steel screw, belonging to the manufacturer's range of Extended Fixings. The combination of a nylon body and a stainless steel screw makes it suited to jobs that require a through-fixing that resists corrosion, in compliance with a rigorous regulatory framework including ETA, EAD, EN 1992-4 and EU Regulation 305/2011 (CPR).
Heavy-duty fixings are steel or reinforced nylon anchors that carry high loads in concrete and solid masonry.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Drill with a bit of the specified diameter to the required depth, then clean the hole with a brush and blow-out pump. Insert the anchor through the part to be fixed, hammering it in if necessary, and tighten the nut with a torque wrench to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Observe the minimum edge distances and spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
