Carabiner with friction spur for descender Once rotated, it allows I’D S, I’D L, and I’D EVAC or RIG self-braking descenders to be made captive during transfers from the gear loop to the ventral attachment point or anchor. The spur allows adding friction in case of heavy loads to better control the descent (two-person rescue situation). Carabiner with friction spur for descender The FREINO Z carabiner has a spur that allows the braking action to be increased or modulated during descent. Simple to use, it is compatible with I’D S, I’D L, I’D EVAC, and RIG self-braking descenders. Once rotated, it makes the descender captive during transfers from the gear loop to the ventral attachment point or anchor. FREINO Z is equipped with the TRIACT-LOCK automatic locking system. Control of the braking action: - spur allows adding friction in case of heavy loads to better control the descent (two-person rescue situation), - simple and modular use. The rope can be quickly passed in or out of the friction spur with one hand. Easier maneuvers: - easy passage of the rope into the spur without opening the carabiner, - Keylock system to prevent unintentional snagging of the carabiner, - TRIACT-LOCK automatic locking system with triple action release, - compatible for use on harness and anchor.
