What it is

The cementitious mortar for concrete Betonfix Termorasa Kimia is part of the Betonfix line by Kimia S.p.A., a leading Italian company since 1979 in the production of materials for cementitious mortars for concrete. Cementitious mortar for bonding and skim-coating certified Kimitherm external thermal insulation systems. Maximum grain size 0.5 mm

An external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) is the combination of insulation boards, adhesive and base-coat mortars, profiles, accessories and finishes applied to walls to reduce heat loss.

What it is for

Used for structural and assembly bonding, for thermal insulation of walls, roofs and pipework and for skimming surfaces before finishing.

How to use it

Fix the starter track level at the bottom, bond the boards to the clean, flat substrate with staggered joints and, once the adhesive has set, anchor them with insulation fixings where required. Fit corner beads and drip profiles, apply the base coat embedding the glass-fibre mesh, and apply the finish. Work within the temperature and humidity limits stated by the manufacturer, protecting fresh work from direct sunlight and rain.
