What it is
The DeWalt BLUE-TIP 2 DFM1430003 concrete screw is a hex-head fastener in zinc-plated steel, 60 mm long, with the distinctive blue finish that identifies the range. It is a self-tapping concrete screw that is driven directly into the pilot hole, with no need for an expansion anchor, offering a quick, removable and reusable fixing.
A concrete screw is a screw anchor that is driven directly into the hole in concrete or masonry, cutting its own thread, without a plug.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Drill with a bit of the diameter specified for the screw to the required depth and clean the hole thoroughly. Drive the screw through the part being fixed with a spanner or impact driver until it is seated, without overtightening. Observe the edge distances and hole spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
