What it is
The DeWalt DWD014S-QS compact rotary drill is a corded tool designed for versatile drilling in metal and wood. With a no-load speed of 0-2,800 rpm it offers the control needed to start holes accurately, while the maximum drilling capacity reaches 10 mm in metal and 25 mm in wood. The compact body, with a weight of only 1.3 kg, a length of 225 mm and a height of 170 mm, makes it easy to handle even in confined spaces and during prolonged work.
The rotary drill is an electric drill with rotation only, without hammer action, for drilling wood, metal and plastic and for driving screws with suitable accessories.
What it is for
Used for drilling a range of materials, with the right bit for the substrate, for drilling wood and panels and for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill.
How to use it
Fit the bit suited to the material and tighten it fully in the chuck. Select the speed: low for large diameters and metals, high for small diameters and wood. Drill perpendicular to the surface, without forcing, with the workpiece clamped, and wear safety glasses.
