What it is

This page brings together the Fischer threaded accessories for chemical anchors, in the A2 stainless steel version. In A2, Fischer has the GX metre-long rods, from M6 to M30 in 1000 mm length, and the FIS M A2 rods to DIN 976, with a 45° angled cut, nut and washer, in M8, M10 and M12. The standards referenced are ETA, EAD, EN 1992-4 and EU Regulation 305/2011 (CPR).

Stainless threaded rod is stainless steel rod threaded along its entire length, used for tie rods and anchor fixings outdoors and in damp or aggressive environments.

What it is for

Used for chemical anchoring, where the load or edge distance rules out a mechanical anchor and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.

How to use it

Cut to length and clean up the thread by running a nut over it. Fix with chemical anchor or in connectors and tighten with nuts and washers that are also stainless, to avoid galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. In marine or chloride-laden environments, A4 stainless is preferred over A2.
