What it is

The scraper is a tool with a rigid blade, flat or grid-type, and a handle, for scraping, levelling or removing plaster, mortar and residues from a surface.

What it is for

Used for finishing plaster, from floating to smoothing, for plastering walls and ceilings, by hand or by machine and in masonry work, from laying blocks to filling chases.

How to use it

Rest the blade at an angle and push or pull with moderate pressure, always in the same direction. It is used to remove ridges and mortar residues or to level plaster that has just set. Wear safety glasses against chips and clean the blade at the end of the job.
