Sealant SiMP Clear NPT Sigill

What it is

is a one-component, transparent SiMP – Silyl Modified Polymer elastic adhesive and sealant. It cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture to form a high-performance compound with permanent elasticity and high resistance to ageing and weathering. Free of solvents and isocyanates. Application areas: it is a versatile, high-performance transparent adhesive and sealant for various applications in interior finishing, construction sealing, furniture assembly or industrial work in general, where transparent bonding or sealing is required. Suitable for transparent elastic bonding between metal, plastic, glass and other materials, joints between window or door frames, mirrors and glass. SUITABLE FOR BONDING INDOORS AND OUTDOORS. SUITABLE FOR SEALING INDOORS ONLY.

Sealant is a paste product, in cartridges or tubes, that fills and seals joints and gaps, either remaining elastic or curing hard (silicones, polyurethanes, acrylics, hybrids, construction adhesives).

What it is for

Used for waterproofing roofs, terraces and below-ground structures, for structural and assembly bonding and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.

How to use it

Clean and dry the joint edges, insert backer rod if needed and mask the edges with masking tape. Cut the nozzle at an angle to the width of the joint, extrude the product with the gun in a continuous bead and tool it with a wet spatula before it skins over. Remove the tape immediately and allow the full curing time before stressing the joint.
