Sealant SiMP-Seal 650 NPT Sigill

What it is

is a one-component SiMP - Silyl Modified Polymer elastic adhesive and sealant, multipurpose, with very low emissions and completely odourless. It cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture to form a high-performance, permanently flexible elastic adhesive. Free of solvents and isocyanates, it has zero VOC and no shrinkage. Application areas: it is a versatile, high-performance elastic adhesive and sealant for elastic bonding and sealing applications in industrial assembly, automotive, transport (buses, caravans, refrigerated vehicles, containers), marine, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, where a flexible joint or a powerful odourless elastic adhesive is required during the process and service life. Ideal for short-duration high-temperature (180° C) paint curing in industrial processes.

Sealant is a paste product, in cartridges or tubes, that fills and seals joints and gaps, either remaining elastic or curing hard (silicones, polyurethanes, acrylics, hybrids, construction adhesives).

What it is for

Used for waterproofing roofs, terraces and below-ground structures, for structural and assembly bonding and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.

How to use it

Clean and dry the joint edges, insert backer rod if needed and mask the edges with masking tape. Cut the nozzle at an angle to the width of the joint, extrude the product with the gun in a continuous bead and tool it with a wet spatula before it skins over. Remove the tape immediately and allow the full curing time before stressing the joint.
