Key features
- Regulations/complianceLEED iEQc 4.1; SCAQMD Rule 1168; BAAQMD Reg. 8 Rule 51
What it is
is a one-component, hydro-expanding polyurethane adhesive and sealant for waterproofing construction joints in poured concrete, which activates on contact with water, turning into a sealant resistant to hydrostatic pressures of up to 5 bar. Extrudable with ordinary sealant guns, non-sagging, it cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture and of the moisture present in the concrete in order to seal all types of construction, hydraulic or penetration joints in concrete structures, and then expands on any contact with water, even cyclical. Certified to: LEED iEQc 4.
Sealant is a paste product, in cartridges or tubes, that fills and seals joints and gaps, either remaining elastic or curing hard (silicones, polyurethanes, acrylics, hybrids, construction adhesives).
What it is for
Used for pouring concrete, from formwork to vibration, for waterproofing roofs, terraces and below-ground structures and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.
How to use it
Clean and dry the joint edges, insert backer rod if needed and mask the edges with masking tape. Cut the nozzle at an angle to the width of the joint, extrude the product with the gun in a continuous bead and tool it with a wet spatula before it skins over. Remove the tape immediately and allow the full curing time before stressing the joint.
