SDS-plus Extreme bit 6x260x200mm DeWalt DT9517-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT9517-QZ is a hammer drill bit from the SDS-Plus Extreme series with a diameter of 6 mm, designed for drilling concrete with rotary hammers fitted with an SDS-Plus chuck. The twin-flute structure, two-cutting-edge head and reinforced core work together for efficient debris removal and good durability over time. With a working length of 200 mm, it can reach greater depths than the shorter versions of the same diameter.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
